God’s mercy and love for us has no end.

Here is a powerful, encouraging testimony from our partner church in Lebanon of God’s great love for all His people and His desire that no one perish.

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

God’s mercy and love for us has no end. As long as we look at the cross we can see God’s love through our Lord Jesus Christ. How wonderful to be saved from sin, the old nature and eternal condemnation!!! We are saved through Jesus blood by faith, not by the power of our deeds and religious acts, only by God’s grace!

My heart is filled with joy because God’s salvation is God’s miracle in our lives in changing a sinner, a dead man to become part of God’s family and have the eternal life. What a great joy and blessing to be part of God’s family.

Over the last 2 Sundays, I had a burden to share about God’s love and salvation during our Sunday morning services. So I followed God’s lead and shared from Matthew 11:25-30

“At that time Jesus said, I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do. All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

During that service an old man named “Aziz” (80 years old) was present, listening to every word I was sharing, I could notice in his eyes and face that he was captured by the word of God. At the of the message, as I lead the congregation in prayers to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, “Aziz” was praying in a loud voice. He was smiling and I could notice the joy in his heart.

We first visited “Aziz” during the relief ministry in winter season, and he started to come to our church meetings from time to time.

The following day, “Aziz” went to one of our church members and told him, “I feel something new in my heart, I feel different, there is joy and peace in my heart. I want you to come and visit me”.

On the same day Brother “Aziz” died as he was sleeping. He went to the Lord. He gained his salvation and eternal life a day before his death.

Our God is so merciful!!!

After the funeral, people started to talk how bad he was in his life, his son and family members felt ashamed from their father history, but we could stood up and shared to all people attending that we are all sinners, bad people, filled with sin, no one is good enough for God, but Brother “Aziz” ceased the opportunity and got saved by the blood of Jesus. We encouraged them to do the same. His family members appreciated a lot what we shared about their father.

Please pray with us that the family members of Brother “Aziz” will come to know Christ and experience God’s forgiveness, joy and peace in their lives. Our hearts are filled with praises to our almighty God.

The only words that I am repeating are: “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” (Acts 20:24)

May our God use you all in sharing the Good News with every person you meet.

Many Blessings,

Rev. Shadi Saad, Pastor
Rahbe Baptist Church – North Lebanon
