November 20, 2010 Outreach Information
This event is taking place in downtown Atlanta on Trinity Ave. on Saturday, November 20. We will be serving in a parking lot with tents/tables that we have to bring in. All preparation will be in the Eagle Cafe on the church campus – Friday, November 19.
If you plan on bringing small children, please remember that we are serving out of a parking lot located next to the homeless shelter in downtown Atlanta so plan accordingly.
If you would like to carpool, please meet at the Life Center building (located behind the main church building) no later than 8:00 am. Bruce Mewbourne will be organizing and leading the carpool up to the serving area in Atlanta. Otherwise please plan on arriving on site by 9:00 am.
November 19th –
6:00 – 8:00 pm – we will be prepping all the side dishes in ELFBC kitchen
Alan & Darren will be prepping the turkeys and smoking them.
During this time, Sarah Hughes will be in charge of working with kids to decorate cookies and put together 550 goodie bags.
November 20th –
6:00 – 8:00 am – we will be cooking all the sides that were prepped the night before
7:00 – 7:15 am – we need a few strong volunteers that will leave from ELFBC with Alan and Darren and head downtown early to set-up tables, tents and get the oil heated for frying the turkeys
7:45 – 8:00 am – load up all cooked sides and headed downtown
10:00 -12 noon – we will serve to the folks in need a hot meal
12 noon to 12:45 pm – clean up/break down to ensure we are leaving the parking lot the way we found it

- Smoked/Fried Turkey
- Stuffing
- Mash Potatoes
- Cranberry Sauce
- Corn Casserole
- Pumpkin Pie
- Bottle of water
- Goodie bag with a gospel message inside
