Can I watch previous services online?
Yes, you can watch Eagle's Landing's services at growingcloser.org
What are the church office hours?
Normal church office hours are from 8am – 5pm, Monday through Friday. During the week, the building is almost always open by 7am and is secured in the evenings as soon as the last scheduled activity has concluded. All facilities remain closed on Saturdays unless specific church or school events have been previously scheduled.
What do I need to do in order to be baptized?
New Testament Baptism is reserved for those who have repented of their sin and placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The Bible clearly teaches that we are saved by grace, not by works (Ephesians 2:8–9). Baptism is a symbol of our faith and an act of obedience for believers and a wonderful celebration of what God has done in your life. It is also a picture of what has already taken place in the heart of the believer — death to the old sinful nature and birth to New Life in Christ. If you have questions about baptism, please contact Bruce Mewbourne, 678.818.1001 or bruce@eagleslanding.org. For further information on baptism, check out our baptism information page.
How can I become a member?
To become a member of ELFBC, you must be able to profess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, have been baptized through immersion, and have completed ELFBC's membership class. This class, "Discovering the Joy of Belonging," is held monthly and is taught by Pastor Tim. You can also come forward on Sunday mornings at the end of the service or transfer your letter from another Southern Baptist church, but all members must have completed the membership class. We recommend the "Discovering the Joy of Belonging" class to anyone who is interested in membership or learning more about ELFBC — our beliefs, vision, history, and various ministries we offer. For more information click here or contact Brian Shuler, 678.818.1062 or brian@eagleslanding.org.
Do you maintain a lost and found?
We do our best to place lost items in our lost and found. If you think you may have left or lost an item at our facility please leave a message with Operations at 678.818.1035 or email us at lostandfound@eagleslanding.org. Leave a detailed description of the lost item and provide contact information. If we have found your item someone will contact you.
During the week, why do we require you to sign-in when you enter the building?
Each day, the ELFBC/ELCA family has more than 1,300 people coming to our facilities. The majority of these are Academy students whose families need to know that their children are in a safe, secure environment. Your cooperation with the established sign-in, sign-out procedures helps us to minimize the risk for all of our family. Thanks for your help in this area!
Does the church loan equipment (i.e., tables, chairs, etc.)?
God has certainly blessed us with great facilities and many pieces of equipment. The equipment and furnishings are very expensive, and we are charged with being good stewards of it all. In order to continue to meet the week-to-week needs of the church and the school, equipment use must be limited to church and/or school sponsored functions and cannot be loaned out for personal use.
Does the church provide counseling?
Yes, our Ministers of Pastoral Care, Terry Hash and Denice Colson are professionally trained Christian counselors who have experience with individual and family needs, including marriage, pre-marital counseling, trauma recovery, and 12-step recovery. You may contact the Counseling Center at 678.289.6981 or terry@eagleslanding.org.
What can I do if I have a family crisis?
Our church family is large, and communication among the family members is crucial, especially during times of crisis. Our "Deacons on Call" Ministry has been established in order to help. You may page a deacon on call after church office hours at 678.634.6693. During church office hours (M-F, 8am–5pm), call 770.957.1355.
